Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our solutions, deployment and support.
What makes Ordnite different from global off-the-shelf AI tools?
Ordnite designs and deploys AI systems specifically built for African operational conditions. Our systems run on local edge hardware with offline-first capabilities, support local document formats and languages (including Amharic OCR), and integrate directly with your existing infrastructure without requiring expensive high-bandwidth cloud uplinks.
Can Ordnite integrate with our existing CCTV cameras and hardware?
Yes. Our vision systems are hardware-agnostic and work with any standard IP camera, RTSP/ONVIF feed, or analog system connected via standard encoders. You do not need to replace your existing camera investments.
How does Ordnite handle data privacy and security?
We prioritize data sovereignty. All video processing and document analysis can run 100% on-premise within your private network. No customer video feeds or proprietary financial documents are ever sent to third-party public clouds without explicit authorization.
What happens if our internet connection drops?
Our edge appliances are completely autonomous. Security detection, smart attendance verification, and visual inspections continue running locally with zero interruption. When connectivity returns, event summaries and logs sync automatically.
How long does a typical implementation take?
Standard solutions like Smart Attendance and AI Security Surveillance can be deployed in 1 to 2 weeks. Custom computer vision pipelines and deep enterprise integrations typically range from 3 to 6 weeks including hardware setup, calibration, and staff training.
What kind of ongoing support and maintenance do you provide?
We provide dedicated on-the-ground technical support in Addis Ababa, 24/7 remote health monitoring for edge appliances, regular model accuracy retraining, and software updates backed by comprehensive Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
